Reviewing the Options

If you've decided to make a decision, you might want to take the time to review all your available options.

Some women feel like they have too many choices - they become overwhelmed by the complexity of the decision. Others feel they have no choice at all. Spending the time and energy to really understand the available options can be an excellent way of sorting through, and perhaps resolving, these feelings.

There are three possibilities to consider: terminating the pregnancy; putting the baby up for adoption; and becoming a mother (which may include placing the baby in temporary foster care).

EXERCISE: Examine your list of options and decide which ones you need to know more about. It's important to actually do the research. Then, no matter what your decision, you will feel like you really did look at and consider every option.

EXERCISE: What would be difficult about adoption?
What would be difficult about parenting?
What would be difficult about abortion?
